PHYS 1030 - Survey of Physics with Lab 4 Credit(s) This is an introductory physics course for non-science and non-engineering majors. Emphasis is placed on understanding the nature of physics and applying basic physics concepts in one’s everyday life experience and work. The use of mathematics is limited to basic algebraic manipulations required to understand and apply physics concepts. Topics covered include mechanical motion, energy, temperature and heat, fluids, electricity, magnetism, wave motion and light.
Prerequisite(s): Reading and Math Learning Support, if required. Corequisite(s): None.
