VECT 1330 - Geometric Optics for Opticians 3 Credit(s) Surveys basic elements of geometric optics. Explores the basic theories of light, the electromagnetic spectrum, shadows and pinhole cameras, refraction at a plane surface, critical angle and internal reflection, lateral shift, apparent depth, prisms, mirrors, thin lenses and image formation. Emphasizes ray tracing and calculations.
Prerequisite(s): College-level General Education Math course. Corequisite(s): None.
