Fundamentals of Respiratory Care I introduces the student to the Respiratory Care Profession. Topics covered include professional organizations, licensure, terminology, medical gas therapy, equipment cleaning, isolation techniques and basic patient assessment.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Respiratory Care program and Reading, Writing, and Math Learning Support, if required. Corequisite(s): None.
