PTAT 2510 - Musculoskeletal Conditions and Treatment for the PTA

This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of therapeutic exercise as they pertain to orthopedic conditions, arthritis, aging and amputations. There will be opportunity to learn and practice specific treatment techniques for these conditions such as selected examination procedures, demonstrating and teaching therapeutic exercises and writing home exercise programs.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Physical Therapist Assistant program. Corequisite(s): None.

Lecture Hours: 3 hours per week Lab Hours: 6 hours per week
