MATH 1730 - PreCalculus 4 Credit(s) Designed primarily for students planning to enter the calculus sequence, but who need more mathematical background. Topics include functions and graphing-algebraic, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic, equations, the binomial theorem, and conics.
Note(s): A calculator with trig and log functions will be needed by the student. Regardless of high school background, an ACT of less than 26 on the math component indicates that the student would profit from taking MATH 1730 before calculus.
Prerequisite(s): Two years high school algebra, a year of geometry and a score of 23 or higher on the math component of the ACT, or MATH 1130 . Corequisite(s): None.
