MAM 0115 - Clinical Practicum I 2 Credit(s) This course is designed for students to participate in mammography radiographic examinations under approved supervision in the clinical setting. Students will obtain experience concerning the proper use of radiographic equipment, along with the development of skills in positioning, patient care, image analysis, and radiation safety practices. Students must complete and document a minimum of 75 mammographic examinations (screening and/or diagnostic) in addition to the 25 examinations that are required by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
Prerequisite(s): Reading Learning Support, if required. Corequisite(s): MAM 0110 .
Clinical Hours: 240 hours per semester
