DHYG 121 - Clinical Dental Hygiene I 1 Credit(s) This clinical course introduces the dental hygiene student to providing comprehensive dental hygiene treatment. Application of knowledge in infection control practices, development of care plans, assessment, oral health education, coronal polishing technique, delivery of fluorides, radiography, and fundamentals of instrumentation. Supportive dental technology, equipment and products related to dental hygiene treatment are introduced.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Dental Hygiene program, DHYG 101 , DHYG 111 , and DHYG 132 . Corequisite(s): DHYG 112 , DHYG 141 , and DHYG 161 .
